Asparagus Your Way

Another healthy option is low-carb and simple to make as an appetizer or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 12 Pieces of Green Asparagus

  • 12 slices Prosciutto, in thin slices (you can also you slices of bacon or ham)

  • Goat Cheese, cream cheese, or other soft cheese options (provolone, havarti also work well)

  • Ground Black Pepper/salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil (a drizzle of balsamic is also very tasty)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F on broil.

  2. Wash and trim the asparagus.

  3. Place a slice of Prosciutto on a clean work surface, and spread prosciutto with cheese.

  4. Wrap around one or two asparagus stalks (depending on size/width).

  5. Place in a baking dish lined with parchment paper.

  6. Pepper to taste and drizzle with olive oil.

  7. Broil in the oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown. (If you have an air fryer - you can air-fry for 10 minutes at 350°F).
